I am lucky enough to have had a few days off from studying and so have been able to visit my parents and stay for the weekend. I love being at home and being looked after by my lovely family, and enjoy a few home comforts - more on that to follow tomorrow.
My lovely Mother took me to the Theatre today to watch Agatha Christie's 'The Mousetrap', which is the longest running play that has been going continuously since the first performance in 1952. Its a brilliant murder mystery with an exciting plot twist, which the audience are traditionally asked to keep a secret, so you won't be hearing any more on the subject from me!
We went to the sweetest cafe for lunch, called 'You & Me- Coffee and cake boutique'. It was literally my idea of heaven in a cafe, serving lovely tea and decorated like a vintage florist, all painted white and decorated with light florals.
I had a lovely pot of full leaf Darjeeling tea, and was assured by my mother that the soy lattes were delicious too! We then both had tuna mayonnaise jacket potato served with a little salad. Delicious, beautifully presented, and lovely to spend the time with my Mumma!
For our day out I wore my favourite summer dress, but layered up as, although the snow has gone, it is still freezing! Warm feet are an essential too, as I teamed the dress with thermal leggings, thick brown socks to match the cardigan, and oxfords.
I think my feet were my favourite part of this outfit, I think I'll be wearing the ankle socks trend for a long time, practical, AND warm and comfy!
Love to all,
