Polka Dot Pastels!
It might be snowing outside, but I have decided that winter has to stop, and so brought some spring indoors onto my nails. This would also work as a great easter manicure, as your nails kind of look like little eggs!
This was actually really easy and fun to do! I picked 5 pastel shades, shown below, and painted one nail each. Some of the polishes needed 3+ coats due to how pale they were, so the only tricky bit for me was keeping still long enough for them dry completely. I then sealed them with a clear top coat. The colours used were:
Topshop Nails in Parma Violet, Essie in Action, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Green Tea, Barry M Nail paint in Lemon Ice Cream, and Essie in We're In It Together. The top coat is by Allura.
[For all you Essie fans out there, Fragrance Direct has got a bunch of new colours in, including the lovely 'Bikini So Teeny', at a ridiculously reduced price! I've got my order in, so make sure you check it out before they go!!]
And now onto the fun part! I picked up this pen in Primark's new beauty section. It came in a set of two, white and black, with a little compartment of pink and white gemstones in each. The lid pops off to reveal this thin pen that you just need to squeeze slightly to get the polish out, but it also screws off into a normal nail brush. The set was £2, I was so pleased to find it having looked for a white tip nail pen in boots and failing to find one for under £8.
All you need to do is squeeze the pen slightly and dot onto nails. Nice and easy, and it dries quickly too!
And while we're on the theme of easter, I have to show off my unbelievably cute phone case. It was a present from my dad, and even has a removable fluffy tail on the back! My home button also has a little pink cat face sticker from paperchase. I love it, although my phone is rapidly becoming one of the most ridiculous looking iPhones around!
Hope everyone is keeping safe and enjoying the snow!
