Hello lovelies!
The other night I went to a friend's James Bond themed party. It proved an excellent excuse to dress up, including making all the boys get their suits out, and I used this as an opportunity to try out a look and some products that are not regulars in my makeup bag. For a Bond Girl look I decided to go bold but simple, with red lips and big dark eyes.
Nails: 17 at Boots in 'Knockout Red'
Base: Mac Studio Fix Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, Maybelline Fit Me Powder
Eyes: Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner, Eldora False Lashes*
Brows: Ilah brows palette*
Lips: Helen E Lipgloss in Maraschino*
Cheeks: Laura Gellar Baked Impressions Blush in Mauve Mocha Latte*
This was actually my first experience of false lashes, and I found them surprisingly easy to use! I loved the bold and dark look they gave - perfect for a Bond Girl style.

Apologies for the myspace style self shot - I completely forgot to take a photo on my camera so did a quick iPhone shot on the way out. I am a big fan of the Helen E gloss, it was so highly pigmented I didn't need lipstick with it, and didn't have to reapply all night, and created the perfect statement lip. The Laura Geller blush is a darker colour than I would normally choose but worked as a combination blush/bronzer so contoured nicely! The Ilah brow palette will be joining my regular makeup bag as it was so simple to use but so effective, and I liked the effect of a pigmented powder rather than gel, creating a lovely matte effect.
I really enjoyed playing around with this look, and look forward to adapting it into my everyday makeup routine! Have you discovered any new products that you love recently?
