Last week I was kindly invited along to an evening at the Trevor Sorbie salon in the Lanes. It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with the gorgeous blogging ladies of Brighton, and also a little workshop from some very talented stylists!
Two of the salon's stylist who worked on London and Paris fashion weeks showed us how to recreate two of A/W seasons top looks, my favourite of which was the huge, 80's inspired Marc Jacobs do in the top photograph. This was made by tightly curling the hair into ringlets, and then brushing out, backcombing and teasing into this giant style. The other style shows Peter Pilloto's A/W wet look ponytail, perfect for sportier styles.
After the demos, we all sat around and had a chat over a glass of wine (bliss!) and got talking hair with the stylists. A few of us then got some personal demonstrations, which was fantastic! I was shown how to create an easy everyday updo by separating the hair into one back and two side sections, twisting together and pinning together at the back, which creates a lovely messy but styled do. Here is the lovely Hannah from HVA Beauty and Style having some gorgeous braids done:

We were very kindly given a goody bag with a gorgeous nail polish (You know how much I love Essie!!), a colour care repair treatment and an overnight straightening treatment, which I can't wait to try out!
I'd like to say a huge thank you to Trevor Sorbie for having us, we really did have a lovely evening! The salon offers a range of treatments and haircare, as well as a nail bar, so why not pop in and book an appointment?
