june favourites

Hello lovelies!
I cannot believe a whole month has passed and June is nearly over! Bring on July and long sunny days, or just continue with these weird rainy ones, whatever. It is however, beginning a month of uni results, work finishing for the summer, and onto festivals! How exciting! More to come on that later. Now though, it's time to share my favourite products of this month. I didn't colour coordinate them I promise, I only realised how well I'd matched them when I put them all together to photograph! You wouldn't be able to guess my favourite colour now though would you..?
Real Techniques Brushes - Buffing Brush & Contour Brush
These brushes make up half of the core collection, which I bought at the beginning of the month thanks to the guidance of the lovely #bbloggers on twitter. I asked for brush recommendations, and Real Techniques were the overwhelming favourite, and now I've tried them, I can see why! The buffing brush is amazing, I have been using it for face products, no more streaky brush marks for me! It make for a lovely natural finish as blends in colour so perfectly. The Contour Brush has led me to experiment with face contouring with highlighters, bronzers, blushers, which I had not yet been brave enough to try. I really enjoyed learning about it online, and this brush made it so easy to do. If I get brave enough, I might even do a post on how to do it soon!
Seaweed Clarifying Toner by The Body Shop*
You can read all about this one here, but to cut a long review short, I am in love. My new favourite toner, rapidly becoming my favourite skin care product. Cooling and refreshing, it is doing wonders for my oily skin, and smells lovely in the process.
Beautifully Moisturised Hairspray by Trevor Sorbie
I bought this one in Boots a little while ago when there was a buy one get one half price on haircare going on, and I'm so glad I did. This product is everything I could possibly want in a hairspray. Long lasting, yet brushes out easily, soft, not at all hard and sticky, leaves hair shiny and smells nothing like that nasty hairspray smell! I would definitely recommend this one!
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Guava
After hearing so much in the blogosphere about these polishes, I just had to give them a go! This one is a favourite for the colour, which is such a beautifully rich turquoise. It is opaque in one coat, and perfect after 2, and is hard wearing and long lasting. I must admit, I was hoping for a proper gel nail finish, which this polish does not really achieve, but it does have a lovely shine to it, so can't really complain there. Not a bad polish at all for £3.99 though!
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB and Dream Pure BB
I've had the Dream Fresh BB for a little while now and you've probably heard me rave about it a few times, as it really is love for me. It creates just the right amount of light coverage for everyday wear if you, like me, aren't so keen on heavy foundations, and in 'light' suits my relatively fair complexion well. The only complaint I may have had was that with my oily skin, it tended to get a bit shiny. Cue Maybelline Dream Pure BB, which I bought when my Dream Fresh ran out. It does all of the above, and deals with the shine! With salicylic acid to combat shine and blemishes, this really is the perfect everyday wear for those with not so perfect skin, and it does the job beautifully!
