Poundland Purchases: Dainty Doll

Yes, you read that correctly, these products were all bought at my local Poundland! I was quite amazed to find them in the beauty section, and what a bargain at £1 each. I first discovered Dainty Doll after buying a cream blush through FragranceDirect, which I loved, and these eye products are no exception.
I was so pleased to find this eye shadow base, eye bases often tend to look very pink on me, but this pale yellow cream based product works wonders, and has a brightening effect on my lids. The consistency is lovely and creamy and does not crease when you add the shadow, as so many of them seem to. The compact is without its usual mirror, but at £1, I don't really mind!
Eyeshadow colours (from left to right)
Jungle - Teach Me Tiger - Copacabana - Town.
I love the bright shades of all these shadows. I'm fairly new to using shadows, I've always been an eyeliner and thats it for eye make up kind of girl. I will occasionally use nude shades, but often stick to playing it safe. I am looking forward to experimenting with these bright shadows, the yellow and blue especially!
Swatched (Kingston Town/ Teach Me Tiger/ Jungle/ Copacabana)
The first three have a lovely shimmer to them, Kingston Town especially is a lovely but bright, golden hue. Copacabana is more of a matte shadow, and is highly pigmented so could be layered to create a very vibrant blue.
Have you found any bargains in Poundland recently?
