Morning lovelies, I hope you are all safe and sound after last night's weather and excitement! If you're not from around here, we had a big old storm (pictures
here if you missed it!) with lots of wind and rain, but luckily survived with nowhere near as much damage as expected! Today's post seems quite fitting as I thought I'd share with you my autumn/winter weather essentials! A few days ago you saw my
dry weather skincare essentials, but today I'm sharing my non beauty must haves.
I love autumn, it really is my favourite season, but I
really do not like being cold! Therefore, my biggest cold weather essential is a stack of snuggly jumpers, and some warm and comfy footwear. I know Uggs tend to be a bit controversial in the fashion world, but they are just so comfortable, I don't care! I move into my
Bailey Button Boots around October and don't leave until April. I'm also a bit of a cable knit jumper addict, as in my opinion, nothing beats a cosy sweater on a chilly evening. H&M have some gorgeous knits in at the moment, I recently treated myself to the burgundy one on the top of the pile, but unfortunately it isn't on their website. It was available in loads of colours and was only £14.99, so I'd recommend a trip in to check that out! My next necessity is a good hat. I bought this Jack Wills bobble hat in a sale years ago and it is so snuggly and warm, it is pretty much the only one I wear. My dog decided the bobble needed attacking a few years ago so it is a bit straggly, but I still love it as the thick knit keeps my ears so warm. I've also featured Maybelline's
Baby Lips, as although technically a beauty product, I couldn't survive the season without a heap of lip balm. My lips dry and crack as soon as it gets cooler so I make sure I keep some to hand at all times, and the cute little Baby Lips tubes are perfect for this. Finally, an essential winter staple, a healthy supply of mini marshmallows! Available from nearly all supermarkets in the baking section (these are from Sainsbury's and happen to be dairy free, hooray!), I make sure my cupboards are well stocked for making hot chocolate, as in my opinion, the best kind of hot chocolate is served pink!
