Nails Of The Day: OPI Gel Manicure

I got my nails did! A little while ago I was very kindly invited along to the opening of the MySalonLooks Spa in The Lanes. There was an opportunity to book treatments at a whopping 50% off, so I took full advantage of that and booked 3! The first of the three (booked over 3 weeks) was a gel manicure. I was SO excited about this, as it was my first proper gel manicure in a salon, and I just couldn't wait to try it out. I debated over colour for AGES, as there was such a lovely range to choose from, accross the OPI and Shellac ranges. I went for an OPI shade in the end, I can't remember the name unfortunately, a very dark plum shade, perfect for autumn. Although I'm a pastel girl at heart, I have been steering towards the darker shades lately with the changing seasons! As soon as the colour went on I fell in love, the rich purple tone suited my skin tone perfectly and was definitely one I could put up with for two weeks! The treatment took about half an hour which was such a lovely time to sit and relax and be pampered, but also something that I can see becoming a future routine that wouldn't take too much time out of my day. The manicure itself is absolutely gorgeous, and I haven't yet stopped staring at my nails, they are so shiny! They have the most amazing glossy finish, while feeling stronger than they have in months. The salon was bright, airy and relaxed and the staff were lovely and friendly. I can safely say this won't be my last manicure at the MySalonLooks Spa!
