The Body Shop Eye Palette in Smoky Plum

Let me introduce you to my new favourite eye product: The Body Shop's Eye Palette in Smoky Plum*. Up until recently I'd been fairly cautious when it comes to eye shadows, opting for a nude base most of the time or occasionally a bronze or brown shade, so thought it was time to inject some colour. This eye shadow quad is perfect for shadow novices like myself, with 4 shades, and a little map on the box of how to use them to create the perfect smokey eye. It's probably the first time I've been able to create a smoky eye without looking bruised or smudged, so I can report that it is wonderfully easy to do with this purply selection. I have also been loving wearing the top two shades alone, they are perfect for everyday wear, with just the right amount of sparkle to ward off boredom. The top right is probably my favourite, the cranberry-esq light shimmery pink is very flattering, and the shade fits well with my grey eyes. The bottom left dark velvety purple is amazing too, it works brilliantly as an eyeliner alternative, but still has excellent staying power and is highly pigmented. The compact itself is gorgeous, the sleek black box is perfectly handbag sized, and the large mirror is so useful for on the go application. It comes with a flat shadow and slanted brush, which are all you need to create the intended smouldering look, making this an excellent space saver too. The palette is also available in a warm toned 'Smoky Brown', and both of these are limited edition, so you'd better be quick if you want to add this to your collection!
