A Christmas Tradition

Every year, on the first of December, my family get boxes down from the attic and decorate the house for Christmas. This year, I was home a little bit before the 1st, so used the opportunity to keep the tradition going, even though we weren't all together on the 1st. I chose my favourite part of decorating to do early, putting out the Christmas Village. My parents own this gorgeous set, and even though I'm (supposedly) an adult now, I still absolutely love setting out the village and the cute little characters. The houses light up, and there's even a tiny little Santa Claus prepping the reindeer for action. The glittery, soft backing sheets look just like a festive, snowy night, and nothing quite puts me in the Christmas mood like it! I'm so excited it is now finally December, Buble Christmas is on full volume, I can put out my tree, lights and tinsel, and begin the big countdown! Do you have a Christmas tradition? I'd love to hear it!

  1. That village is so sweet!! I began putting the decs up today too, or what little we had from last year. Decorating for Christmas is something I only started doing/getting excited about last year- so I think I have lots of bauble shopping to do! xx

  4. Cute decorations! My family always go to London to see the lights on Christmas Eve and open one present on Christmas Eve too.

  5. Your little Christmas village is so beautiful! I love these, I look at them every year but we have no where to put them so we never get to buy any. The whole thing is so lovely, I really like how they light up :) We have a few traditions but the first to start off the season is that the tree comes out and everything gets decorated on the 1st, then we sit and watch something Chrismasy with the lights twinkling :) I love this time of year!!

  6. SO cute! We don't have a village but we love going to all the garden shops to see the huge displays, the kids love the ones that move and have lights in. I wish we could buy some but there is really no where to put them!
