Essie's Sole Mate

I think I've found my favourite nail polish. Yes, I realise how bold a statement that is, but I'm going for it anyway. I have a fairly extensive pastel Essie collection and love the bright, light shades, but recently felt I needed something darker, and more sophisticated to add to my range. I picked up Essie's Sole Mate a little while ago as I was after a dark shade, but loved the burgundy/plum base to the colour. One coat in I was smitten, and by the second it was true love. This shade seems even glossier than the rest of my collection, with a high shine finish that actually lasts. I managed to keep this on  for a whole week too without any major chipping, which is pretty impressive for a non-gel polish. My nails are fairly short at the moment and I found this shade particularly flattering, and seemed to go well with the crazily pale complexion I'm rocking at the moment. The colour is a lot more vampy and sophisticated than what I'd normally go for, but it really does go with everything I have been wearing, and is great both day and night, with the purply undertones really coming out in the daylight. It has become my go to polish of choice and I have worn very little else on my nails recently! Have you tried this shade? What's your favourite dark coloured polish?
