Spring Makeup

It would appear that spring has finally sprung! Or, at the very least is having a good go at springing! I'm not quite ready to put away my wooly jumpers yet, but I have been feeling so excited for the longer days and brighter weather to come. I'm ready to trade in my dark red nail polish and smoky eyeshadows for the pastel shades, so thought I'd share some of my makeup picks for springtime with you!

Eyes:
Shimmer Cube Palette in Hot Pink ℅ The Body Shop
I'm popping away my trusty dark purple cream shadows for something a little brighter and prettier for the spring time. I absolutely love this eyeshadow shimmer quad, featuring 4 pink shades to be worn together or separately. They are warmed tones pinks with such a lovely shimmer to them, I find they brighten and make your eyes pop, and are such a pretty pastel tone for spring.

Lips:
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive
Rose and Vanilla Lip Glosses ℅ The Body Shop
Having spent winter in dark matte shades or neutral toned nudes, I'm now really enjoying wearing pinks, peaches and corals. I'm still loving matte shades, and this Revlon pencil is just so lovely. You can see swatches and a full review of it here. Although a matte fan, I've also been recently rediscovering my love for lip glosses. Sometimes you just need a little bit of shimmer, and these two new lip glosses from the body shop have just the right amount without being too shiny either. They are lightly scented in rose and vanilla and are very light and not at all sticky, perfect for daily wear.

Face:
Topshop Cream Blush in Flush
You're probably getting bored of me harping on about this one now, but it is rapidly becoming my most favourite blush in my whole collection. The natural pink flush of this cream blush make it perfect for a fresh spring face, and you can't beat the cute polkadot packaging either!

Nails:
Essie Nail Polish in (L-R) We're In It Together, Mint Candy Apple, Go Ginza, Bikini So Teeny
Forever an Essie lover, now is the time of year to pull out my vast pastel collection. It was a tricky choice, but I've narrowed it down to my 4 favourite shades. Each of these are such sweet pastel tones that look almost good enough to eat, and are so happy and spring like!
