If you follow me on instagram, you'll have probably worked out by now that I'm a bit of a manicure lover. There is nothing that makes me happier than freshly painted nails, and as much as I love going to a salon to get them done, there is something pretty satisfying about doing it by yourself at home! I find it to be quite a relaxing activity, and perfect while chilling out in front of the tv in the evening. Once you've got yourself a little routine, it's so easy to keep your hands and nails looking neat and nice at home, without having to splash out on a professional manicure.
I have my nails painted pretty much permanently, so an at home pamper always starts with removing old polish. I then trim any nails that need trimming, I usually go for a smooth, rounded shape that aren't too long, otherwise they drive me mad when typing! I then moisturise my hands with this gorgeous Hand & Foot Butter from The Body Shop. For my nails, I start with a base coat, currently I'm loving this Maximum Growth Plus polish from Sally Hansen. I then go ahead and get painting, and finish with this 3D plumping topcoat from Rimmel. It has such an amazing high-shine finish, leaving your polish looking like a gel manicure. I then finish with a little cuticle oil, which I then reapply most days, which keeps my cuticles soft and neat and my nail beds looking healthy.
