In Pictures: Two Days in Dubai

Some of you may have noticed I was a little quiet this week. On Monday, I set up my scheduled posts for the week, then jetted off to Dubai with my Dad for a few days! We went to stay with my godfather who has moved there recently, and I can truly say it was a magical experience. This was my first visit to the Middle East, somewhere I'm now keen to explore more of, and I absolutely loved it. I took hundreds of photos, so thought I should share some! The coolest temperature we felt was 36oC at night time, and it reached up to 46oC (!!) in the day, so you'll have to excuse the fairly shiny faces!

The Mall of the Emirates genuinely features a ski resort, with three runs, one of which is steep enough to be a black run, a chair lift and tobogganing run. I'm not even kidding.

One of the many shops filled with gold in the gold Souk. Getting fairly toasty here as it was around 3pm.

The world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Every half an hour at night time there is a colossal fountain display set to music, which was absolutely stunning.

We crammed absolutely loads into our two days, including some delicious middle eastern cuisine, swimming in the Arabian Sea which was as hot as a bath, and shopping in the Dubai Mall, the biggest in the world. Dubai definitely doesn't do things by half measures! I absolutely loved my visit and can't wait to go back, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to take a trip somewhere a little different!
