Over the winter and colder months, I lived in matte lip colours. You probably heard me raving about some of my favourites, the gorgeous Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms, or professing my love for my all time favourite lip product, my Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bettina. When the summer and the warmer weather comes along though, I have found myself opting for something a lot more glossy, shiny or shimmery. I've always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with lip glosses, they were probably the first beauty product I ever owned, yet along the way have often fallen out of love, or encountered some absolutely rubbish sticky ones that can just completely put you off the product! Recently though, I've found some glosses I've been absolutely loving using, so thought I share them with you. I like using gloss as a finishing touch to a makeup look, adding a little shine to a dewy or fresh look, and these three from The Body Shop are perfect for that. One more of a sheer pink, with two of a more shimmery base, all are light, not at all sticky and free from large chunks of glitter. All of them have lovely light and fresh scents to them, respectively in Rose, Lychee and Vanilla. They have a great staying power, and moisturise in the process, making them the perfect way to finish off your makeup for the day. They have quite a lovely pale touch of colour to them, so I like layering them on top of a pale pink or nude lipstick. They are fairly small so fit nicely into your makeup bag and the squeezy tube makes for easy application on the go. I think they are a really lovely product for summer, and are great for no-makeup makeup days. They come in a nice range of shades and scents too, so make sure you check out the others on offer!
