As the summer and sunshine approaches, I keep seeing more and more 'festival essential' and 'summer style' posts around. For me, growing up in the countryside and being a bit of a country bumpkin at heart, there is one thing, be it a summer evening walk or a 5 day festival that I just can't live without: a decent pair of wellies. Perfect for the task are the classic, timeless Hunter Wellies, a uniform for the countryside that is rapidly becoming equally as popular in cities and towns alike. When I'm back in Wiltshire, Hunters are perfect for dog walks and explorations across woodland and fields, and when I'm in Brighton, they are ideal for rainy day walking and puddle splashing!
They are the only item of footwear I take when camping or going to a festival, and the beauty of Hunters is that they are as stylish as they are practical. This gorgeous Tall Purple pair looks great with jeans, shorts, and even maxi skirts, a pairing I love for glorious long summer evenings. They are fairly narrow and are fitted well to your calf, meaning they are particularly flattering with a slimming and elongating effect on your legs. I have particularly small feet, on the small end of a 3, and this pair in size three fit me well as they are quite narrow around the ankle, a feature I love as wellies often leave you sliding around in them, which can cause blisters. Fen was pretty impressed with them too, but that may just be because wellies = walks! They come in a wide range of colours and styles meaning you can plan your festival style around them, but be warned, once you start shopping, you'll want a whole Hunter rainbow collection!
