14 Day Tiny Tea Teatox ℅ Your Tea
If you know me well, you'll know I never say no to tea. No matter what kind, flavour, leaf or bags, or whatever time of day, I'm always up for a cuppa. I was therefore quite happy to give a 'Detox' tea a try when the offer arose, but I was a little skeptical of it's claims. The Tiny Tea Teatox by Your Tea claims to 'cleanse your digestive system', assisting in weight reduction, skin clarity, increasing energy levels and alleviating issues associated with food intolerances.
It's no secret that I've been wanting to get a bit fitter for a while now. I'm far squishier than I'd like to be, and I find every extra pound I put on is rather noticeable on my 5"1 frame. I also spend a lot of my time bloated and feeling a bit like a whale in the stomach area after eating thanks to a less than perfect digestive system. I wasn't in the market to lose a lot of weight, but rather for a lifestyle change, to tone up a bit, eat better and generally be more comfortable in myself. I also have issues with my skin, energy levels, and food intolerances, so this tea pretty much seemed like it was being directly marketed at me. As I drink so much tea normally, I wasn't really sure how this one was going to be any different and make any changes, but I went for it, and it worked out rather nicely.
You drink this tea 3 times a day, 30 minutes before a meal, for 14 or 28 days, depending on your package. I went for the 14 day Teatox. It's an Oolong based tea with lots of herby extras, and the taste really grows on you over the fortnight. The main issue I was hoping to resolve with this was the bloating, something that seemed to happen after nearly every meal, no matter what I ate. I'm pleased to say that the results for this issue were practically instant, the first meal I had after drinking my first cup left me with no extra bloating at all, and any residual puffy-belly was hugely reduced by the end of day 1. This left me feeling far more comfortable than usual, so in that respect, was an absolute success.
Now this isn't some sort of magic weightloss solution. You have to put in a bit of effort with it to get the most out of it. Alongside drinking this tea 3x daily, I cut out processed food and extra sugar (opting for a little honey in my tea if needed) for the fortnight and made sure I did a little bit of exercise every day, either a walk, a yoga work out or some hula hooping in the garden. By the end of the first week, I was feeling good, and I mean really good. My skin looked great, my spots were healing and not breaking out into new ones and I felt awake and energised. I was free from bloating so looked far less puffy around the middle too. By the end of the two weeks, I was feeling like a new woman! I was full of energy, virtually spot free and noticing a big difference in how I was looking.
Perhaps the best part for me is that it had broken me out of my lazy bad-diet cycle. Sticking to something every day for two weeks, and eating well and exercising to go along with it had gotten the hard part out of the way, I was not craving sugar or burgers, and I had gotten used to all the fruit and vegetables I was eating. Getting up in the morning didn't seem like a chore either. While the tea in itself isn't a magical waist-shrinking device, it had given me the kickstart I needed to be on the right path to getting healthy, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results.
The week after finishing I got a little lax and started snacking on crap again, and you know what? I felt like crap. Just because my Teatox was over doesn't mean I should stop doing what I was doing, and I'm pleased to say I'm back off the rubbish and back on the healthy eating and getting moving, and I've never felt better! It's £20 for a 14 day box, which initially sounds a little much, but I found if I equate this to the money I would have spent on Starbucks and fast food over that period, it suddenly doesn't seem so much at all, and the benefits last a lot longer than the instant gratification of a 89p hamburger!
I hope this review has been helpful, if you're looking for the perfect way to start off a better, more healthy lifestyle, then I really can't recommend this tea enough. I'm going to order another Teatox for a few month's time to make sure my digestive system stays on track, my stomach has never been more comfortable than when I was drinking it daily, so if you're prone to digestive issues too, then this might just be the one for you. I'd love to hear if you give this a go, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
