A little while ago I was very kindly invited along to a blogger's evening in Brighton with some lovely ladies from Green People. You have probably heard me mention them before, I'm a big fan of their all natural, organic skin and body care. This evening however was to talk about their incredible beauty range; just as organic, natural and good for you, but in the form of everyday beauty products. Unfortunately my camera had an issue so I don't have any pictures from the evening, but I can tell you a little more about the products..
I was sent away with some bits and pieces to try out and have been so impressed with each and every one of them. This included their stunning new Illuminating Eye Duo, to be used as eyeshadows on their own or together, or as highlighters, as both feature a beautiful pearly shimmer. A little goes a long way with these, they have a smooth and creamy texture, with a high colour payoff and shine. They are perfect for highlighting the inner corner of your eye or your brow bone. Also brand new from Green People is the Lip Primer. As someone with naturally dry lips, I am forever applying lip balm, only to watch my lipstick crease up or slide off over the top of it. This primer is perfect for the job, its much thicker than a balm, more waxy, but it sinks into the lips really quickly, meaning you can apply lipstick almost straight away without a worry! I also tried out the Volumising Mascara, which I have to say I have fallen very much in love with. It enhances my lashes beautifully, making them look naturally long and thick without a hint of clumping. It lasts all day and is super kind to eyes too, even when I forgot I was wearing it and smudged it straight into them!
During the evening I also got a peek at the new Lip Crayons that are on the way, and I'm so excited for their release! They reminded me very much of the Nars Velvet pencils in texture, they glide on with a gorgeous colour, I'll let you know when I know the release date of these!
I'd definitely recommend checking out Green People's Website, they are a lovely bunch of people and are making ethical, eco friendly and organic makeup a reality!
