I'd never really been a fan of November before this year. I'd always associated it with the dark, miserable aspects of Winter, when in actual fact there's a lot in it to make it one of the lovelier months. I've embraced the season early this year and put up my Christmas tree already. I know this will horrify some people, but the addition of sparkly lights and decorations in my living room has really helped ease me into the dark nights and dark mornings.
The best bit about November for me personally, is not only that my favourite time of year is rapidly approaching, but that you can make your life so cosy, comfy and downright snuggly. On a chilly morning, there is nothing better than hiding under a warm blanket on the sofa with a hot drink and a cheesy sitcom re-run on the telly (I'm loving Frasier at the moment!). My favourite candle scents fit perfectly with the season too. Honey and Spice is my all-time favourite fragrance. It warms the room up and makes it smell like a country kitchen full of festive delights. I'm excited to start lighting up my Christmas scents too, but for now am really enjoying these warm, comforting smells.
