It feels like ages since I've done a beauty post! I've actually got quite a few lined up thanks to there being SO many amazing releases out at the moment that I just can't wait to share.

Now, it's no secret that I'm a huge Real Techniques fan. Since I discovered their practically life-changing buffing brush (from the core collection), I've never used anything else to apply my makeup base, and have built up my collection from there to a nearly purely RT brand kit. When I caught a glance of the new Bold Metals collection on Instagram, it was a textbook case of love at first sight. I needed a few more brushes in my collection, and the new shapes available fit the bill perfectly, in the most stunningly beautiful silver, gold and bronze designs you've ever seen. The collection is pricier than previous releases, but it's definitely reflected in the quality, the bristles are densely packed and softer than some of my Mac brushes, and cut perfectly to do the job properly. A particular favourite has to be the flat contour brush, which is meaning that I've been able to accurately contour when doing my makeup in the mornings, which for a clumsy applicator like myself, is quite a feat. It makes it quick and easy to sweep a narrow line of bronzer using an edge of the brush, and then use the flat top to neatly blend it in, making for really natural looking definition.

I adore the Tapered Blush too, it's a lot smaller than the previous RT Blush brush, and so is perfect for expert application to pop the blush exactly where you want it. The Oval Shadow reminds me of a slightly denser Mac 217, but does just that little bit more, the denser bristles mean that the tip of the brush can be used for more defined crease application, where as the super soft fluffy sides of the brush are perfect for blending. The Angled Liner is super sharp and neat so I imagine would be perfect for gel liner, though I have been using it for powder brow products where it works brilliantly. The design is beautiful, the handles are pointed and weighted and so feel lovely in your hands. The metal colourings are gorgeous too and would look gorgeous on any dressing table!

Have you tried out any of the new range? I'd love to hear what you think!
