A Valentines Look with Fragrance Direct

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at FragranceDirect and presented with the challenge of creating a makeup look from some of their products for Valentine's Day. I haven't done any beauty looks on here in a long time, so I thought it would be fun to give it a go! As soon as I saw the gorgeous bright Pinky-Red lipstick in Eros by Calvin Klein, I knew that I wanted that to be the centre of the look, and so decided to keep the rest fairly simple. I'm not a big lover of red lips, it tends to wash me out, but the pink edge to the shade is just so perfect for Valentines. It's a super soft, creamy texture too with the most beautiful light sweet scent to it, it really is a fab little lipstick and only £1.99! For the face I added a little contour using the W7 HideIt Concealer in a shade darker than I'd usually wear, which blended well. I then applied the Bobbi Brown Little Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral (a new favourite!) to the apples of my cheeks using my finger, and dusted a little light shimmer up my cheekbones using the Famous Shining Star Shimmer Brick, which felt a lot more expensive than it actually is! I loved the light peachy/coral glow that these products created, adding some simple warmth to the look. For the eyes and brows I used one nifty little palette, the ColorSport Smokey Eyes, using the Blonde powder as a neutral eyeshadow base, and the Black Powder to line the eye and add a little cat flick. I then used the Brown Shade to fill in my brows. To finish off the look, I went with the coral/red theme and painted my nails with Essie's Status Symbol. I'm a HUGE Essie fan and actually can't believe I didn't own this shade sooner, it's such a gorgeous bright shade and so perfect for Valentines!

I'd like to say a big thank you to Fragrance Direct for supplying me with such a lovely box of treats. Perhaps my favourite part is that on their site, you can pick up this whole look for £32.49, which bearing in mind it includes multiple high-end brands, is rather impressive! I'd love to hear if you try out this look!
