And now for something completely different... A style post! If you're a regular reader then you'll know these don't happen all that often, but I thought I'd give one a go today! A little while ago, I was contacted by the lovely people at DUO Boots to take part in their #MyDUO style guide, where you style a pair of their lovely ankle boots in two different ways. I was very kindly sent a pair of their absolutely gorgeous Ashton boots in Black nubuck, which I fell in love with the moment I laid eye on them! I've shared the two main styles that make up my 'look', which basically come under the categories of smart and casual:
Look 1:
I think this is my favourite of the two, and is the sort of outfit I'd normally choose to wear if I was going out somewhere during the day. Pairing a pretty floral playsuit with a classic mac and Chelsea boots, you just can't go wrong! I tend to wear a lot of dark colours like this and I think the gorgeous boots just finished the look off perfectly!
Look 2:
This is more of an everyday, comfy casual outfit, starting with a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans cuffed above the ankle to show off the pretty boots! I've just paired this with a simple tshirt and my leather jacket. It's not the smartest but it's definitely comfortable, and I love how cuffing the jeans shows off the boots so well.
The boots themselves are absolutely beautiful. With a zip on the inside they are easy to put on and they fit me PERFECTLY, which is a bit of a rarity on my awkwardly narrow size 2.5 feet. They 3 different width options available which was absolutely amazing, and is probably the first time I've ever had boots that fit me so well! They have a low chunky heel which is super comfy yet adds just that little bit of height that 5 feet tall ladies like me love! They feel extremely well made and feel like the sort of item that would last a lifetime.
