A Week in Colour

tulip colourinsta As a part of my quest for positivity, I've been taking a closer look at the things that make me happy, to try and make sure I try and keep up good habits as much as trying to get rid of the bad ones.

One of the things that I've noted is quite how much I love being surrounded by bright colours, but somehow had found myself getting lost in a sea of neutrals and monotony. Due to a lack of wardrobe inspiration I've got myself into a routine of wearing black, with the occasional bout of dark green or blue jeans, but very little else. In trying to keep my house tidy, everything was suddenly becoming stored away in white cupboards or boxes, and suddenly everything was looking very drab. Last week, I made it my mission to add in some colour, and set myself a mini project of keeping record of it on my instagram. It was only very little changes; switching out my greige nail polish for a bright lilac, changing up my nude lippy for a bright fuchsia, or popping a few bunches of tulips about the house, but it has already made the most amazing difference to my mood.

Catching a flash of bright pink out of the corner of my eye makes me feel brighter. I'm not sure why, but it does, and I'm not going to question it. I've decided to make this into a little project to try and build up the amount of colour in my life each week. If you want to join in too, I would absolutely love it, and love it if you shared your progress too!
