c/o La Roche Posay
First off, I'm not going to start by lecturing about the importance of sun care. Because we all know it by now! As a pale lady myself, the vital nature of keeping safe from the sun is one we hear all the time because it is just that; suncare should no longer be an optional part of a beauty regime but instead a key part of any morning routine, in my opinion! Especially now at this time of year where the sun is getting stronger, it would just be silly to forgo such an imperative part of your health and beauty!
A little while back I was invited along to hear about some new additions to La Roche Posay's Anthelios sun range. You'll have heard me go on about my beloved Effaclar range many times I'm sure, but I was actually yet to try anything from this particular sun range. After the first application, it was one of those skincare love-at-first-usage moments, mostly winning me over on texture. My first port of call was the Nutritive Oil for body and the Comfort Cream for face, both of which are absolutely fantastic. The oil formula made it quick and easy to apply, with a light texture that didn't feel greasy and felt as though it sunk in quickly. The cream is quite a dream, normally I'm not a fan of suncreams on my face and so tend to avoid makeup afterwards due to gross textures, but this one fit perfectly into my routine, is light but creamy to apply and sinks in fast so that you can comfortably pop your makeup over the top. Personally, the BB cream is a little dark for me now though I have a feeling might be just fine mid-summer, so I will have to report back on that one. Also, although I don't have a little-un myself, I think the kids version is a brilliant idea, and I passed that one on to my cousin and her gorgeous little girl to give it a try!
All of them contain SPF50+ which is just brilliant, I think it's rare to get such high protection without ending up smothered in white goop and sticking to everything you touch. My favourite of them all is the Comfort Cream which has since become a permanent addition to my morning routine. It's lovely to find such a comfortable sun protection product, but I guess that's what happens when it comes from skincare experts!
Have you tried out any of this range? I'd love to hear your thoughts!Labels: beauty, review, skincare, sun, sun care
