Italian Summer Fig by The Body Shop

When it comes to fragrance, I'm a girly girl at heart. Give me fruity florals any day and I'm a happy lady; my favourites of all time include Oh Lola and Flowerbomb, both super sweet and flowery. I therefore wasn't so sure when I heard about a Fig fragrance. Fig is usually something I associate with high end home scents, posh little glass candles, and so isn't the sort of fragrance I'd normally go for. I was kindly given one to try out so I thought I'd see how I got on, and I might just be the newest non-floral fragrance convert. It's a warm, summery scent with a fresh and juicy base, a little earthy but not dense or heavy. It's not a sudden burst of flowers like I am used to, but instead a light and pleasantly lingering fragrance, reminiscent of summer evenings somewhere warmer and more exotic than here.
Italian Summer Fig is the newest addition to The Body Shop's perfume collection, joining Atlas Mountain Rose, Indian Night Jasmine and Japanese Cherry Blossom, all of which have had a sweet little facelift in the form of their stunning mirrored dome bottles. These classic scents are now looking more chic and make a stunning addition to any dressing table. For a high street fragrance, I am blown away by this little perfume. With a long lasting, delicate yet complex fragrance, in a beautiful bottle, it some something I'd expect of a higher end brand, making it amazing value for money in my opinion. In such a lovely little package it would make a gorgeous gift too. Joining the EDT is a fragrance mist, shower gel, body lotion and body butter, if you want to add the fragrance to your bath and body too!
